Valentino Balboni was recently awarded the Best in Class Guidato dall’eccesso (Driven by Excess) Award at the 2016 Concorso di Eleganza of Villa D’Este, Italy. Valentino showed up at the glamorous event driving a very special car, the 1976 blue “Walter Wolf” Countach coupé.
The car was specially made as homage to the former Formula 1 constructor Walter Wolf and it’s a rather rare sight even for Lamborghini enthusiasts. The model features golden wheels, a special livery with Canadian flags, the name and logo of the Wolf Formula1 team, and a unique spoiler on the back.
It’s impossible to not recognize a car with these specifications: the attendees of the Villa D’Este event were very excited and surprised to see Valentino himself drive the car to the concours: The man and the car were greeted with loud applause and whistles, and it was immediately clear that the Wolf Countach was ahead of the competition in its class. A very well deserved Award for Valentino and the Wolf Countach!
